GNP Brainstorming
Using Goal Not Problem type thinking, this brainstorming technique is extremely inspiring and motivating. Participants work in small groups to ideate on a specific challenge that is relevant to their business or product.
Framing the future within a goal rather than a problem is an effective way to empower all participants to be change agents.
Brainwriting
This is an often-overlooked technique for generating a large quantity of ideas in a short time. Unlike many other techniques, Brainwriting is suitable for large groups—up to 25. It is inclusive, taking in everyone’s ideas. It insures that all participants will be able to contribute using the written worksheets as a “silent” ideation technique. Clients would use this when they want to try a new approach to ideation/innovation or when there is reticence to contribute in a group situation.
